Product description
Mini-saucepan, diameter 12 cm, capacity 0.53 L, made from cast iron, LAVA brand
Cast iron is a material that heats up slowly but, once heated, it retains heat very well for a long time. Thus, the cookware are suitable for most cooking techniques, be it frying, slow cooking or oven cooking.
Characteristics:
The mini-saucepan walls' thickness is 4 mm. On the inside, the product is coated with one layer of black enamel that facilitates the formation of a non-stick surface when cooking with grease.
The vitreous enamel - the material used for the outer finishing of the LAVA cast iron cookware - is obtained by spraying glass powder at temperatures of 750 - 850°C. The glass powder adheres to the surface of the mini-saucepan creating a protective layer that also helps to optimally distribute heat.
The lidis flat and has small protrusions on the inside, thus, ensuring that moisture is kept inside. Thanks to these characteristics, a "rain" effect develops inside the saucepan which intensifies the flavors and eases the cooking process.
The 5 mm thick base makes it possible for LAVA cookware to be usable on all types of cooktops, including induction hobs.
Do not use the mini-saucepan in the microwave.
