Product description
Saucepan, diameter 16 cm, capacity 1.33 L, made from cast iron, produced by Lava.
Cast iron is a material that is difficult to heat but, once heated, retains heat very well for a long time. Cast-iron cookware is suitable for most cooking techniques, be it frying, simmering or baking.
Features:
The walls of the saucepan are 4 mm thick. Inside, the saucepan has a black enamel coating that facilitates the creation of a non-stick surface when cooking with fat.
Vitreous enamel – the material used to finish the outside of Lava cast iron saucepans – is obtained by spraying glass powder at temperatures of 750 – 850 °C. It adheres to the surface of the vessel, creating a protective layer that also helps to distribute heat optimally.
The lid is flat and has small protrusions on the inside, ensuring that moisture is kept inside. Thanks to these characteristics, a "rain" effect is formed inside the saucepan, which intensifies the flavours and eases the cooking process.
The base of the saucepan is 5 mm thick and makes it possible to use Lava cookware on all types of hobs, including induction hobs.
Do not use in the microwave.
