Our kitchens have changed a lot over the years, but the ceramic material, being refractory, is still used for baking. That is why, Emile Henry has designed this special bread baking dish, which offers very similar results to those obtained in traditional ovens. The domed lid allows uniform baking and provides constant moisture, important aspects in preparing a quality loaf of bread. The lid also allows the water resulted from condensation to drip back to the surface of the bread so it can be fully absorbed by the end of the baking process. This evaporation allows the bread to bake while it dries. You will thus make a loaf with soft, firm interior and crispy, golden crust.

Thanks to the ribbed surface of the baking dish, bread will not stick and will be easy to remove.

The refractory ceramic developed in the Emile Henry laboratories withstands temperatures of up to 270°C and distributes heat evenly across the entire surface of the baking dish. The enamel applied for finishing protects the product from scratches and chipping (you can cut directly into the baking dish without leaving scratch marks), making it dishwasher-safe.
