Both mills are equipped with the u'Select grinding system, featuring six preset grinding levels. This exclusive duo also includes a matte black display stand.

Many cooking techniques and recipes require seasoning with freshly ground salt and peppercorn at specific levels of coarseness. For instance, fine grains are preferred for light sauces or raw vegetable mixes, while a coarser texture works well with roasts or grilled dishes. The patented u'Select system by Peugeot offers the ability to quickly and precisely adjust the grind with six predefined levels. Simply turn the ring at the base of the mill to achieve the desired grind size, instantly and effortlessly.

In u'Select-equipped salt and peppercorn mills, Peugeot’s renowned grinding mechanisms, guaranteed for life, are incorporated. The peppercorn mills feature a hardened stainless steel mechanism with two rows of helical teeth that efficiently guide the peppercorns. The first row crushes the peppercorn, and the second ensures a perfect grind.

The salt mill mechanism is designed to crush salt crystals and is made from stainless steel to resist corrosion from long-term exposure to salt.

Recommended salt type

For optimal results, dry salt with crystals up to 4 mm in diameter, such as rock salt or coarse salt, is recommended. Avoid using moist sea salt, as the humidity may corrode the mechanism.

Recommended peppercorn type

The recommended types include black, white, or green peppercorns that are dry, hard, and have a maximum diameter of approximately 5 mm. Pink peppercorns can be used only in a blend (up to 15% pink peppercorn) with the other types. Dried coriander seeds can also be used in Peugeot peppercorn mills.
