Beyond personal preferences, many cooking techniques or recipes require seasoning with salt and freshly ground pepper with a certain grain. For example, in the case of light sauces or mixes of raw vegetables, a fine granulation is recommended, and in the case of steaks or grilled dishes, a coarser granulation. Peugeot now offers the possibility of quick, precise and easy selection between 6 predefined levels of granulation , thanks to the patented U'Select system. By simply turning the ring at the base of the grinder, you get the desired granulation instantly and without any risk.

In the case of salt and pepper grinders equipped with the U'Select system, the same famous Peugeot mechanisms are present, guaranteed for life.

The mechanism of the salt grinders is designed to crush the salt crystals. It is made of stainless steel to resist the corrosion process caused by prolonged exposure to salt.

For the best results, we recommend dry salt, whose crystals do not exceed 4 mm in diameter, such as that extracted from the mine or coarse salt. Do not use salt grinders for grinding pepper or sea salt, its moisture can corrode the mechanism.

The pepper grinders use a grinding mechanism made of hard stainless steel, equipped with two rows of teeth in the form of a spiral, to efficiently guide the peppercorns. The first row, larger, is designed to crush the pepper and the second one ensures perfect grinding.

We recommend black, white or green peppercorns, dry, hard, with a maximum diameter of about 5 mm. Pink peppercorns can only be used in a mixture (maximum 15% pink pepper) with one of the previously mentioned types of pepper.

The grinder may contain salt and pepper for demonstration purposes and must be emptied before use.
