Product description
Saucepan, produced by Lava, diameter of 24 cm, capacity of 4.5 l, made from cast iron.
Cast iron is a material that heats up slowly but, once heated, it retains heat very well for a long time. Thus, the cast iron cookware are suitable for most cooking techniques, be it frying, slow cooking or oven cooking.
Features:
The walls of the saucepan are 4 mm thick. On the inside, the product is coated with one layer of black enamel that facilitates the formation of a non-stick surface when cooking with grease.
The vitreous enamel - the material used for the outer finishing of the Lava cast iron cookware - is obtained by spraying glass powder at temperatures of 750 – 850 °C. The glass powder adheres to the surface of the saucepan, creating a protective layer that also helps to optimally distribute heat.
The lid is flat and has small protrusions on the inside, thus, ensuring that moisture is kept inside. Thanks to these characteristics, a "rain" effect develops inside the saucepan, which intensifies the flavours and eases the cooking process.
The thickness of the base is 5 mm, which makes possible for Lava cookware to be usable on all types of hobs, including induction hobs.
Do not use in the microwave.
