Each of these four measuring spoons is double-ended, so you can measure 8 different quantities, using only 4 tools. Thus, the first spoon can measure either the capacity equal to 2 tablespoons or 1/2 tablespoon, the second one measures 1 tablespoon or 1/2 teaspoon, the third one measures the amount equal to 1 teaspoon or 1/4 teaspoon, and the fourth spoon measures 1/8 - 1/16 of a teaspoon.
