The lid is tall with a glossy appearance and the welded handle is made of stainless steel. The grill is also made of stainless steel.
It has a stainless steel partitioning component, with holes for steam circulation, thus creating the possibility to cook with steam.

Smoking is a healthy process that adds flavor to food without using fat, salt or oil, resulting in a cooking process with a low calorie content.
There are two methods of smoking: cold and hot.
1. Cold smoking is done at a temperature below 30°C , the smoking time being between 3 and 20 hours. This method adds flavor and color, but the dish is not baked.
2. Hot smoking involves temperatures between 60 and 80°C , following this process resulting in a preparation with a long shelf life that contributes to increasing the juiciness and tenderness of the product.
With the smoking set from Demeyere you can easily smoke the dishes creating that juicy aroma at your home. This set is suitable for any type of fish, seafood or chicken. Very versatile, it can also be used for steaming vegetables or other foods. It withstands the dishwasher, is easy to use and can be used on any type of hob, including induction ones.
How is it used?
- First heat the pot to a high temperature. After a few minutes, with the help of a fork, drip a few splashes of water on the surface of the dish. When the water drops move on the surface of the vessel, the optimal temperature has been reached. Reduce the heat source by 50% before placing the dish and sprinkle 2 tablespoons of shavings in the pan.
- Place the smoking compartment in the pan on top of the sawdust. It has the role of preventing leaks, having holes for smoke evacuation on the side.
- Place the grill in the pan on which you place the product you want to smoke and adjust the intensity of the heat source to the minimum level.
- Finally, place the lid on the pan.
