Product description
"Le Petit Chef" peeler - made of beech wood, with high-quality stainless steel blade, Opinel brand.
With Opinel, children can cook safely: the Le Petit Chef collection is the perfect way to teach them this. The red ring helps to place the fingers correctly and to prevent the hand from sliding towards the blade.
The Le Petit Chef peeler is recommended for children over 7 years of age and must be used under the adult supervision.
Martensitic stainless steel
Hardness: 55-57 HRC.
The stainless steel used in OPINEL blades is optimized to guarantee both high resistance to corrosion and high mechanical performance.
The blade offers excellent sharpness and high abrasion (wear) resistance, allowing it to withstand the usual contact with hard materials such as ceramics before requiring resharpening. Stainless steel has the advantage of not requiring special maintenance under normal use, unlike carbon steel. However, it can reach its limits when put in prolonged contact with an aggressive environment (acid, salt water, detergent...).
The handle
Beech is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. Sourced from France, the beech used is hard, durable and easy to work with. With a homogeneous appearance, its light color varies from yellow to pink. It is characterized by the presence of numerous dark fine lines.
Blade length: 5 cm
