Product description
Lovage may look like Italian parsley, but its flavour is completely different! Wonderfully aromatic, lovage tastes like celery with a hint of anise. Just a few leaves are enough to season sauces, meats, fish, and vinaigrettes.
How to use lovage
Lovage has an intense, aromatic flavour reminiscent of celery. It can be used to enhance many dishes.
Lovage leaves are often used to flavour soups, sauces, and stews. They add a unique and deep aroma.
Lovage leaves can be finely chopped and used as a seasoning for salads, yogurt-based sauces, marinades, or even sprinkled over meat and fish dishes.
Lovage leaves are often used in bouquet garni to add flavour when cooking stews or soups. They can be removed before serving the dish.
Tips for successfully growing lovage
Lovage leaves can be harvested throughout the growing season, preferably before the plant begins to flower. Younger leaves tend to be more tender and have a milder flavour. To harvest the leaves, cut the stems near the base using appropriate scissors. You can also carefully pick individual leaves. Be careful not to remove more than one-third of the leaves from a single plant to allow continuous growth.
