Emile Henry products, made from special types of French ceramics - Flame®, HR® (High Resistance) and BBQ® (Barbeque) - have been entirely handmade using traditional methods, in the Henry family workshops in Burgundy, France, since 1850.
Handcrafted from natural clay with care and attention to details, Emile Henry products are guaranteed for up to 10 years.
Given to how ceramics is made, by two-stage firing – at 900°C and, then, at 1150°C, the Emile Henry products are suitable not only for all types of cooking, but are also 100% safe for storing food (they do not contain harmful metals), can be easily washed by hand or in the dishwasher and can be successfully used in the microwave.
The excellence of these French products is complemented by their beauty, being painted in entirely distinctive colors: Clay, Flour, Burgundy, Charcoal, Blue Flame, Provence Yellow, Mediterranean Blue, Truffle, Rose Candy, Belle-Ile, Cedre and Toscane. These shades are inspired by the raw materials of the products, the manufacturing process, other materials they resemble, or the wine-growing area where the company is located.
Emile Henry has always been dedicated to French craftsmanship. They remain faithful to their historic location in Marcigny, in the heart of Burgundy, and help to preserve traditional skills and jobs. Each of their pieces is handcrafted and signed by one of the craftsmen in their workshops.
Built out of passion for the art of combining earth with fire or the art of ceramics, the small business of the Henry family has turned, in time, into a prestigious company which is well-known across the world thanks to the fact that the cookware and crockery manufactured by this company stand out by quality, utility, look and sturdiness, being, beyond all doubt, a brand of good taste and efficiency.
